Meet the Teams Competing at Aarhus Open 2025!
Before the action kicks off, let's get to know the incredible teams that will be showcasing their skills and competing for glory at Aarhus Open 2025. Each team brings its own unique flair and talent to the tournament, promising a day full of thrilling Baseball5 action.
Here are the teams that will be vying for the top spot:
Aarhus Havoc
Danish Champions 2024, undefeated and with a going winning streak of 14 games, Aarhus Havoc is the host of the Aarhus Open 2025. Formed in 2023, Aarhus Havoc plays competitive with a focus on playing true to their moto: Fortis et Velox!
Jutland Krakens
A brand new team with players from various cities in Jutland. The team is internationally anchored, as the players hold citizenships in the USA, Venezuela, Germany, and Denmark.
Vandals Vintage
A strong team from Ballerup with plenty of softball experience. The team is already qualified for the Danish Championship, having placed second in the qualifying tournament in Gladsaxe, and they are the team that has come closest to beating Aarhus Havoc.
Amager Vikings
A brand new Baseball5 team making their debut in the tournament on January 11th. The team comes from a strong softball club that recently won gold in the women's division. It will be incredibly exciting to see how Amager Vikings perform against the other teams in their first tournament!
Herning Trolls
Another brand new Baseball5 team, originating from Herning Baseball Softball Club, which has played in the Danish baseball league for many years. The team has had the opportunity to play some training matches in Aarhus against a mixed Jutland Krakens/Aarhus Havoc team, so despite this being Herning Trolls' first official matches, they might have a slight advantage in knowing some of their opponents.
Roundnet Aarhus
Have you heard of Roundnet or Spikeball? There are some similarities with Baseball5, as the ball is hit with the hand, and that's probably why we are lucky to have Roundnet Aarhus register a team for Aarhus Open. It will be interesting to see if they have any different techniques that can inspire the other teams in the Baseball5 league. Besides participating in the tournament, Roundnet Aarhus will also bring Roundnet equipment, which both players and spectators can use throughout the day.
Tune Squad
The international touch for this years Aarhus Open is the dutch team “Tune Squad” consisting of true baseball5 veterans. 3 of the players on this team was the first ever national champions in the Netherlands in 2019 and all players played in the European Championship 2023.
